   CGC All Purpose-Lite Compound

   CGC All Purpose-Lite Drywall Compound is a ready-mixed, high-performance compound providing superior working qualities and good open time to ensure the smoothest joints possible. Compared to conventional weight compounds, it weighs up to 15% less, is easier working and sanding and provides lower shrinkage for metal bead, trim and fastener concealments. A special vinyl formulation makes it ideal for embedding tape and for filling, leveling and finishing over gypsum panel joints, fasteners, bead and trim. Also excellent for skim coating.

The panels have an innovative, engineered core and proprietary face and back papers that form a high strength to weight ratio composite design. The noncombustible core is encased in stronger, 100% recycled face and back papers. The natural finish face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core, and the ends are cut square and even. The long edges of the panels are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with CGC/Synko® Brand joint treatment systems. The product name is printed with non-bleeding ink on the face of each panel for identification after installation.

The panels feature tapered long edges for easy finishing. The 19.1 mm (3/4") Ultracode® Core panel is cUL Classified and ULC Listed for fire resistance. One layer of 19.1 mm (3/4") Ultracode Core panels may be substituted for two layers of 15.9 mm (5/8") CGC Sheetrock® Brand Firecode® Core Panels in many cUL and ULC Listed assemblies.     CGC Sheetrock® Brand Tuff-Hide™ Primer-Surfacer is the original dual-purpose vinyl acrylic latex-based coating designed especially for interior application over new drywall. For a GA-214/ASTM C840 Level 5 gypsum board finish, a single spray application provides the same high-quality drywall finish as the traditional two-step process of skim coating surfaces with joint compound followed by a coat of primer.

Long edges of panels are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with a CGC/Synko® Brand joint treatment system.
